The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have announced 11,127 vacancies for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP).
Applications Open: May 15, 2026.
Applications Close: June 14, 2026 (23:59 Hrs).
Modification Window: June 17 – June 26, 2026.
Age: 18–30 years (as on July 1, 2026).
Initial Pay: ₹19,900 (Level-2).
Medical Standard: A-1 (Must have 6/6 distance vision without glasses; LASIK/corrective surgery is a disqualification).
Qualifications: Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI/Apprenticeship in specified trades, or a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Automobile Engineering.
Single Application: You can apply to only one RRB. Multiple applications will result in a lifetime ban.
Live Photo: A live photograph will be captured during the online application process.
Signature: Must be in running (cursive) handwriting; block/capital letters will be rejected.
General/OBC: ₹500 (₹400 refunded after appearing in CBT-1).
SC/ST/ExSM/Female/Minorities/EBC: ₹250 (Full amount refunded after appearing in CBT-1).
