RRB NTPC 2023: Overview

RRB NTPC Exam is one of the biggest conducted by RRB for graduate or undergraduate students. There are some posts for which RRB NTPC is recruiting candidates which are Traffic Assistant, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Trains Clerk, Goods Guard, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Commercial Apprentice, Station Master in various Zonal Railways and Production Units of Indian Railways.   • June 2022: Tentatively, the CBAT exam is scheduled to take place on 30th July 2022. The CBAT Exam Dates have been disclosed and confirmed for this date.
  • 18th July 2022: The cut-off marks and results for the CBT 2 examination have been released by the board.
  • 7th September 2022: The Railway Recruitment Board has published the cut-off marks for RRB NTPC. Candidates who have been shortlisted are eligible to participate in the document verification round.
  • 22nd September 2022: The admit card for the document verification round for Level 6 has been released. The RRB NTPC Level 6 DV will take place from 26th to 30th September 2022.Exam

The primary responsibility of the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) is to administer the Common Eligibility Test (CET) as the preliminary examination for the Railway Recruitment Board’s (RRB) CBT 1. Interested candidates have the option to apply for the CET RRB.

RRB NTPC Recruitment 2023

RRB NTPC 2023 Eligibility

The RRB NTPC Eligibility will depend on different factors like Age limit, Nationality, and Education Qualification. Those who are fit for these eligibility criteria will only applicable for the next process.

The following is the condition that a candidate should fulfil to be eligible for RRB NTPC Nationality

Candidate should be:

  • Citizen of India, Nepal, or Bhutan.
  • Or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1 January 1962 to permanently settle in India.

RRB NTPC 2023 Educational Qualification:

Railway Recruitment Board hires across various posts bifurcated into two separate sections with respect to the candidate’s educational qualification.

RRB NTPC Age Limit

In order to apply for the RRB NTPC 2023 Exam, the candidates must fulfil the below criteria to be eligible for the exam and final recruitment.

  • A candidate should age between 18 to 30 years for undergraduate-level posts,
  • 18 years is the minimum age limit for graduate-level posts
  • 33 years is the upper age limit for graduate-level posts.
  • Age relaxation will be provided by the Board for reserved categories of candidates.

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern

Understanding exam patterns will help you clear the exam. According to the recent update, the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) to conduct a Common Eligibility Test (CET) for all non-gazetted posts (Group B and C) under the Railway Recruitment Board has been introduced by the union cabinet. The RRB NTPC exam consists of three stages: CBT 1, CBT 2, and Skill Test. Below, you can find the detailed RRB NTPC Exam Pattern

RRB CBT 1: It consists of 3 sections- General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and Mathematics. It is compulsory to qualify CBT 1 Exam to appear for CBT 2 Exam. Read out the following information:

General Awareness section includes 40 questions.
Mathematics and Reasoning will comprise 30 questions.
Each question carries one mark
25 marks were deducted for each incorrect answer.
Candidate will have only 90 minutes to attempt the entire paper.

RRB CBT 2: Both CBT 1 and CBT 2 have a similar exam pattern, only the level and number of questions are increased.

General Awareness section includes 50 questions.
Mathematics and Reasoning will comprise 35 questions.
One mark for each correct answer.
1/3rd mark deducted for each incorrect answer.
Candidate will have only 90 minutes to attempt the entire paper.


RRB NTPC 2023 Selection Process

There are three stages for RRB NTPC Selection Process. The three stages are CBT 1, CBT 2, and Skill Test. It is compulsory to clear all three stages for NTPC jobs.

Aspirants will be selected based on the marks scored in CBT 1 and CBT 2 whereas the third stage will be qualifying in nature. It is mandatory to pass all three stages, only then you will be eligible for the document verification and medical test.

NOTE

For the post of Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, or Commercial Apprentice, candidates do not have to appear for test sets test.

They will have to appear for two-stage CBT followed by document verification and medical examination.


RRB NTPC Admit Card 2023

Applicants who have successfully submitted the application forms will be eligible to download their hall tickets from the official website by entering their registration number and date of birth. Please make sure that you have your RRB NTPC Admit Card while entering the examination hall, otherwise you will not be allowed to sit in the exam.

RRB NTPC 2023 Salary

RRB NTPC Salary consists of multiple slabs for different posts. Basic salary of Rs. 18,000 per month for RRB NTPC Candidates along with additional allowances such as Dearness allowance (DA), Daily Allowance, Transport Allowance, House Rent Allowance (HRA), Allowance for Night Duty, Medical Facilities, and Overtime Allowance.

These allowances will further add to their monthly salary, making the in-hand salary for RRB NTPC posts

  • Salary for the undergraduate post: Range from Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 21,700 per month
  • Salary for graduate posts: Range from Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 35,400 per month.
