During the online application process, candidates must pay the Application Fee. The table below details the fee structure for different categories:

WB Police Constable Application Fee:

  • UR Category: Application Fee – 150 INR, Processing Fee – 20 INR, Total – 170 INR
  • SC/ST (of WB only): Application Fee – Not Applicable, Processing Fee – 20 INR, Total – 20 INR (Note: There is no exemption of fee for SC/ST candidates from other states.)

It’s important to note that the application fee is non-refundable. Any application submitted without the appropriate fee payment will be rejected. The application fee can be paid through UPI-enabled payment gateways, Internet banking, and debit/credit cards as per the convenience of the applicants.

WB Police Constable 2024 Qualification

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have successfully qualified the Madhyamik Examination from a recognized educational board.

Language Requirement: Proficiency in Bengali (speaking, reading, and writing) is required. This requirement is waived for permanent residents of the hill sub-divisions of Kalimpong and Darjeeling Districts. For these residents, regulations stated in the West Bengal Official Language Act, 1961 apply.

The age limit for WBP Lady Constable is also between 18 and 30 years as of January 1, 2024.

The salary for a WBP Constable ranges from ₹22,700 to ₹58,500 per month, with an additional grade pay of ₹2,600.

Candidates must have completed the Madhyamik Examination (10th grade) from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.

1. Height: Minimum height for male candidates is 167 cm, and for female candidates, it is 160 cm.
2. Chest: For male candidates, the minimum chest measurement is 78 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm.

The duration of the WBP Constable Exam is 1 hour (60 minutes).

The written examination is scored out of 85 marks. Candidates must score above the cut-off marks, which vary each year based on several factors.
