SSC CGL 2024 EXAM

Exam date for SSC CGL (Staff Selection Commission – Combined Graduate Level Examination) 2024 has been released for SSS CGL Tier I and Tier II Exam. The SSC CGL 2024. Tier I Exam will be held between September – October. Tier II Exam will be held in the month of December.

Tentative dates for SSC CGL 2025 are out. The advertisement for Tier-I will be released on January 25, 2025, and the exam is expected to take place in June–July 2025.

SSC CGL 2024 Eligibility Criteria

There are some SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2024 for candidates. If the candidate fulfils all the criteria, then only, he or she is allowed to sit in the Examination. There is different education qualification and age limit for the different posts. Students must refer to the official notification for details.

SSC CHSL 2024: Selection Process

The selection process for SSC CHSL 2024 involves multiple stages, and candidates need to qualify in each stage to move on to the next one. The details are given in the official notification. Here is a simplified explanation of the selection process:

  • Tier-I Exam: The first stage is the Tier-I exam, which is a Computer Based Examination . Candidates must pass this exam to move on to the next stage. There will be negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer.
  • Tier-II Exam: Those who clear the Tier-I exam move on to the Tier-II exam. This is also a Computer Based Examination. Candidates must qualify in this exam as well.
  • Final Selection: Merit list will be prepared on the basis of overall performance of candidates in Tier-II Examination only. The final choice of candidates in each category will be based on their overall performance in the Tier-II Examination and the preferences they have indicated for the posts.
  • Allotment of Posts: The final allotment of posts is made on the basis of merit-cum-preferences of Posts/ Departments given by the candidates and once a post is allotted, no change of posts will be made by the Commission due to non-fulfillment of any post specific requirements of physical/ medical/ educational standards.

SSC CHSL 2024: Resolution of Tie Cases

In the event of tie in scores of candidates in Tier-II examination, merit will be decided by applying following criteria, one after another in the given order, till the tie is resolved :

  • Marks obtained in the Section-I of Tier-II Examination.
  • Marks obtained in the Section-II Tier-II Examination.
  • Date of birth, with older candidates being ranked higher.

All candidates needs to be familiar with the SSC CHSL syllabus in order to do well in the SSC CHSL Examination which will be held in August 2023, as stated by SSC.
